Daily Prayer
1. Give thanks for God's word and for the variety of bible studies we have at WGUMC. Pray that we will all love to read His word
2. Pray for the safety of the men and women setting up for our Rummage Sale today, and pray that the items in this sale will be a blessing to people throughout our community
3. Pray for the success of our Rummage Sale today, and that all those who come here will feel the love of Christ
4. Praise God, who calls us into his kingdom. Pray for unbelievers
5. Lift up our Charge Conference today, and pray for God's will to be done in and through the United Methodist Church. Pray for discernment as our leaders seek God's vision for this church
6. Pray for peace in our communities
7. As we prepare for Consecration Sunday on October 19, pray that we will live lives that are overflowing with thankfulness to God for everything. He has given us (Eph. 5:20)
8. Pray for the women of our craft ministries, and ask that God bless them as they use their talents to serve Him
9. Please pray for our church missionaries, the Shope family of World Harvest Mission in Jenkintown, PA and Ngoy Mulanga Kalangwa, a UM missionary in Tanzania
10. Lift up the children, families and teachers of our Children's Morning Out (CMO) program
11. Give thanks for the retired active persons of our congregation and pray for the success of the RAP picnic today. Also pray for our evangelistic efforts
12. Pray for the success of our Parcel Post Party this evening and lift up the work team that is preparing to go to Alaska next summer
13. Pray for, by name, our church bible study leaders and Sunday School teachers
14. Pray that God will powerfully prompt our church to reach out, and that those efforts will be effective. Pray specifically for Our Trunk or Treat event coming up on October 31
15. Pray for wonderful fellowship tonight at Perkins Night
16. Pray that our music ministries will be uplifting each Sunday as we come together to worship the Lord, and give thanks for our PraiseWorks Band, Chancel Choir, and Children's choirs
17. Pray for the success of our church directory photos today and tomorrow, and pray for each family and individual in our church that God calls to your mind
18. Lift up the men and women who attend AA at our facility, that they may have strength and freedom from addiction
19. On this Consecration Sunday, pray that we will experience great joy as we dedicate the first portion of our income to God
20. Pray that our church leaders will seek God's will and have a servant's heart in all that they do
21. Pray for our Trustees to be faithful stewards as they manage the resources and facilities of this church
22. Pray for the success of the Caregivers Workshop this evening and lift up someone that you know who provides care for an elderly parent.
23. Praise God for caring intimately about you. Commit yourself to turning over the control of your life to Him
24. Lift up the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of Pastor Wendy. Pray for blessings and protection over her family
26. Pray that the members of our congregation will excel at caring for and showing love to others
26. As our church gathers for worship today, pray that the Holy Spirit will speak powerfully through Pastor Wendy
27. Give thanks for the new United Methodist Women's Circles (UMW) at our church and pray that these women will draw close to Christ through study and through service
28. Pray that God will cover a blanket of protection over the men and women serving in our military
29. Give thanks for our cleaning lady, Brenda, and pray for God's blessings on her family
30. Pray that God will raise up political leaders who desire to do His will
