Prayer Focus

The West Grove United Methodist Church would like to join with you in a short prayer each day through out this month.

Daily Prayer

1. Give thanks for the beautiful children of this church, and pray that we will each be a light of Christ’s love to them. Pray for the ministry of our Children’s Team as they meet this evening.

2. Lift up those in our church who minister to us through music: our Choir, PraiseWorks, Bell Choir and Children’s Choir. Pray that our worship and song be sweet offerings to God.

3. Give thanks for Pastor BK, and pray for God’s wisdom, protection, discernment, health, and blessings

4. Pray for someone in need of physical healing and also lift up those who are in need of spiritual healing

5. Lift up the Les Family in the Ukraine. Pray for God’s strength, health and security. Give thanks for their beautiful example of faith to our church family

6. Give thanks for our Knit Wits ministry, and pray for God’s love to flow through their hearts and hands

7. As our Yoga class meets this evening, praise God for the miraculous gift of our bodies.

8. Give thanks for our Missions Team as they meet this evening and pray that we will all grow in our compassion for others and in our willingness to serve.

9. Pray for your enemies. Ask God for a heart of forgiveness and mercy

10. Give thanks for the Retired Active Persons of our church family and for their continued service to the Lord. Pray for many more active and healthy years

11. Give thanks that God created us to be people in community, and pray for the JULIET ladies as they gather this morning.

12. As we celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s birthday today, pray for a deeper sensitivity to racial justice.

13. Give thanks for our Trustees and their dedicated service to our church. Pray for God’s vision, guidance and wisdom.

14. On this Valentine’s Day, give thanks for our God who IS LOVE.

15. Give thanks for the dedicated members of our Staff Parish Team as they meet this evening, and pray for God’s blessings on their households.

16. Give thanks for the men and women in our military, and pray for God’s protection and pray for peace on earth.

17. Lift up our Children’s Morning Out program. Pray for the children, their families, teachers, and director

18. Praise God for His goodness endures forever. Ask Him for patience, strength and endurance in areas of your life that do not seem to be good.

19. Give thanks for those who will be joining the church today. Pray that we will draw them in with love, and that they will grow to know us as family

21. Give thanks for the leadership of our church who serve on the Administrative Council and Finance Team as they meet this evening. Pray that God will continue to give them His vision and purpose, and that He will sustain and protect them.

22. Pray for the members of the Luther House Bible Study that meets today. Pray for God’s Word to penetrate our hearts and to shape and mold our lives.

23. Pray for the members of ROMEO as they gather today, for God’s health and blessings.

24. Give thanks for our middle school and high school students. Pray that as they mature and seek their own independence, that they will have a desire to seek and to know the LORD

25. Give thanks for our Outreach and Hospitality Teams. Pray that we will all consider it part of our lifestyle to reach out to others in our community with Christ’s love, and to greet those in our fellowship with His warmth and kindness

26. Give thanks for the men and women who serve as Sunday School Teachers. Pray for God’s blessings on their families, and His guidance as they prepare their lessons

27. Give thanks to God for calling us to Himself through prayer, and lift up those who gather this evening for Centering Prayer.

28. Pray for the success of the Community Café today, and that those who attend will be blessed by this ministry.

29. On this Leap Day remember that this is the day that the Lord has made, and lift up our church staff. Pray for God’s blessings, guidance, health, and strength for their families.
